developing humor

Annika: Nolan, point to your head. Just do it, point to your head.

Annika & Emma: What's your name?

Nolan: (after being reminded) Nolan.

A&E (tripping over each other's words): What's this? Nolan, NOLAN...what's this?

N: Your nose.

A&E: No, just nose. Just say nose.

N: Nose.

A: What's in my hand?
E: Nolan, look, what's in Annika's hand?

N: ...........

A: What's in my hand?
N: Nothing!?!

Erupting laughter...Nolan. nose. nothing....hahahaha!

A: What's your name?
N: Nolan
A: What color is the sky?
N: Black
A: No, what color is the sky?
N: Dark blue
E: No, Nolan, what is the sky in the day?
N: Light blue
A: (Having given up on a one-word answer for the previous question...) Where does a balloon go when you let it go?
N: In the sky.
A&E: No, Nolan! When you let a balloon go, it goes UP!
Nolan. blue. up! HAHAHAHA

A: Nolan, spell I CUP.
Parents, overhearing this, process and reply simultaneously from opposite ends of the house: NO! You will not repeat that one!

Good times.

This is love and laughter.
